Finals have never been so stressful. Perhaps my teachers recognize that this will be their last chance at killing us off, because every single class (except Racquet Sports, which doesn’t count because it’s Racquet Sports. Colleges I’ve never applied to keep offering me free rides. Mostly colleges in Idaho, nice schools but not ones I’m going to. I guess this is the post-admission-deadline version of the “free application, no essay, and answer in two weeks!” offers. Shame none of my schools offer that.

Life is hectic right now. Schoolwork is coming in a flood, partially because teachers want to shove as much down our throats as they can before senioritis kicks in and partially because I’m taking so many AP classes. I go to bed past midnight most nights, and fall asleep a few hours after. Plus, gargantuan exams fast approach.

1. This has quite possibly been one of the busiest weeks of my life. The bus doesn’t help; I like public transportation and exercise, but I never sat around to consider the ramifications of arriving home an hour to an hour and a half after school ends (my house is a seven minute drive from my school.) Dear Sophia,

It does not matter how much you enjoy school, how rabidly you devour new reading, how high your GPA is, or how little sleep you can function on. If you’re going to take a year-long AP class compressed into a semester so a semester-long AP class can be stuck on the end of it, DON’T DO IT WITH TWO PERIODS IN THE SAME YEAR.
